busy busy

Another week gone and still so much work to do.  Have to work on our client project and try to figure out how to build it in wordpress as well as getting a design for our project 3.  We shall see if I can get it all together by the date due. Wish me luck…haha

double duty

This week we continue to work on both our client websites and brand X websites.  It is interesting working with two contrasting styles of web pages and applications for each page. I have gotten the basic layout for my micro site for brand X completed and mike and I have had some feedback on our client projects and are going to edit our site accordingly.

Things are progressing well and hope to have a solid base for both projects by the end of the week.

Project one in the books

Finished creating our “what inspires us” websites this week. I have to say that I was impressed with myself that I was able to get the javascript to work effectively on my site to achieve the sliding interface for my content panels.  Overall the site was a success I think and I look forward to expanding on this use of the slide effect to do some cool things in future sites.

Link I found to a tutorial on how to add a slider effect to a website without using flash. Pretty straight forward and am currently trying to incorporate it into my first project.

Start of a New Semester

With the new year upon us I find myself beginning the spring semester at SUNY Oswego. Alot of things on the agenda for web design 2 including our “what influences me” website and our newly introduced client projects. This semester should be interesting!

Week whatever :-P

We have begun the process of creating our group website this past week.  The idea my group has decided on is a e-commerce website that sells computers and other design electronics with the option to design how it looks with your own unique touch.  On it the user is also able to buy products already customized as well as get their design critiqued by other members on the site.  So far it is coming along well with only a few changes that need to be made.

week 11

Finished critiquing our projects this week.  Overall the critique went well with only a few changes that need to be made. Overall the website had a professional look and was laid-out appropriately considering the content that the website was displaying.  This coming week we are starting project 3 and have to come up with ideas for a social website.  I am excited to work with a group and have to narrow down ideas to make the best site possible.

week 10

Blanked out on updating this week. Was busy finalizing my project and getting it ready for critique on wednesday.  Overall it was a productive week, with my website looking good.  Have been basically making the different pages and have begun to put the content into my website. Hope to have it all completed ahead of time so any issues I find can be corrected.

week 9

Have officially started putting my project two website into Dreamweaver to get it ready for the web.  The splash page for my website is completer and now I have to format the main content of the website in the coming week.  Things appear to be right on schedule as long as something does not go wrong…haha

O well….see what happens. :-)

week 8

Week 8 is in the books with project 2 well underway.  For the weekend I am currently working on my design comps to show where I am trying to go for my webpage design.  I am liking where my ideas are going, so I will have to wait and see what the classes’ view is on them.
